Telangana Governor Unveils Model of Proposed 111-Ft Four-Armed Hanuman Statue in Telangana

Hyderabad, June 4 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday unveiled the model of a proposed 111-foot-tall Chaturbhuja Shanku Chakra Yukta Hanuman statue, which its promoters claim will be the world’s first depiction of Lord Hanuman with four arms carrying the conch (shankha) and discus (chakra).

The statue is proposed to be installed at Chinna Gottimukkula village in Shivampet mandal of Medak district, on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Designed by noted sculptor Dr. Anil Ram Sutar, the monument is being conceived as a major spiritual and cultural landmark aimed at promoting the values of Sanatana Dharma and showcasing India’s civilisational heritage.

The model was presented to the Governor at Raj Bhavan by temple trustee and chief priest Bhaskarayani Anjaneya Sharma, temple committee member R. Sitarama Rao and Pranava Infra Managing Director Kalluri Hanumantha Rao.

The delegation briefed the Governor on the unique features of the project and informed him that foundation works for the monument are already underway.

According to the project promoters, the statue is expected to be completed and consecrated within the next two years.

They said the proposed monument would emerge as a major centre of faith and devotion, attracting pilgrims and visitors from across the country while adding to Telangana’s religious tourism potential.

The project is envisioned not only as a place of worship but also as a symbol of India’s spiritual traditions and cultural heritage.

Later, M. Parameshwar of Kokapet called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan.
