Telangana Governor, CM Pay Tributes to Ambedkar; Stress Constitutional Values and Social Justice**

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Tuesday paid floral tributes to B. R. Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary at Raj Bhavan.

The Governor garlanded a portrait of Dr Ambedkar and described him as one of India’s greatest sons and the principal architect of the Constitution.

He said Ambedkar’s life symbolised the triumph of the human spirit over adversity and highlighted his role as a visionary social reformer and jurist dedicated to justice, equality, and empowerment of the downtrodden.

Stating that the Constitution framed under Ambedkar’s leadership remains among the finest in the world, Shukla called upon citizens to reaffirm their commitment to constitutional values.

He urged the youth to draw inspiration from Ambedkar and work towards building a just, inclusive, and progressive society.

Extending greetings on the occasion, he appealed to people to move forward in the spirit of unity and fraternity espoused by Babasaheb.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid floral tributes to Ambedkar at Tank Bund and highlighted his enduring relevance in shaping democratic governance.

Addressing an Ambedkar Jayanti programme, the Chief Minister said Mahatma Gandhi demonstrated that struggles could be won through non-violence, while Ambedkar showed how a nation could be governed as a model for the world.

He described Gandhi and Ambedkar as the “two eyes of the nation”.

Revanth Reddy emphasised that Ambedkar believed education is the key to transforming lives and said his philosophy forms the foundation of India’s democratic system.
