Telangana expands GHMC citizen services on MeeSeva WhatsApp platform

Hyderabad, May 19 (TNT): The Telangana government has expanded the range of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) services available through the MeeSeva WhatsApp and chatbot platform to improve citizen access to government services.

The initiative has been launched under the guidance of Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu as part of the state’s efforts to strengthen digital governance, transparency and citizen-centric service delivery said the Commissioner, Electronic Services Delivery (ESD), IT & Communications Department, here on Tuesday.

Officials said the MeeSeva WhatsApp/Chatbot platform, launched on November 18, 2025, has now added several new GHMC-related services for citizens across the state.

The newly added services include property assessment revision, birth and death corrections, birth and death registrations at home, property door number correction, property name correction, property tax services and trade licence renewal.

Citizens can access the services through the official MeeSeva WhatsApp number 8096958096 by initiating a chat, selecting the required service, filling in the details and completing the payment process directly through WhatsApp.

According to the Electronic Service Delivery (ESD) division of the Telangana government, the platform has witnessed strong public response since its launch and has emerged as one of the fastest-adopted digital public service channels in the state.

Officials said commonly accessed services on the platform include birth certificates, income certificates, police challan payments, electricity bill payments and Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) result services.

The government said it remains committed to expanding digital service delivery and ensuring seamless citizen access to governance services across multiple platforms.
