Telangana CM Revanth Condoles Death of Veteran Actress Shavukaru Janaki
Hyderabad, Aug 21 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the passing of veteran film actress and Padma Shri awardee Shavukaru Janaki.
In a message, the Chief Minister recalled that Janaki began her acting career during childhood by portraying various roles in stage plays and went on to leave an indelible mark on the Indian film industry over a career spanning nearly seven decades.
Revanth Reddy said Janaki established herself as “Shavukaru Janaki” through her exceptional performance in the film Shavukaru and went on to captivate audiences with performances in nearly 400 films across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi cinema.
The Chief Minister praised Janaki as a versatile actress whose performances in several acclaimed films remain etched in the hearts of audiences.
Janaki’s demise has created an irreparable void in the film industry, Revanth Reddy said, praying for her soul to rest in peace.
He conveyed his deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family members, friends and fans of the veteran actress.
