Telangana CM Meets Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw; IRFC Loan Discussions Positive

New Delhi, June 22 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and discussed the release of loans from the Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project.

The meeting was also attended by Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the Chief Minister said the discussions on the release of IRFC loans for Hyderabad Metro Rail were held in a positive and constructive manner.

Revanth Reddy expressed optimism over securing financial assistance for the metro project and said further discussions would be held with the Centre.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to meet Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday to pursue the matter of IRFC funding and other issues related to urban infrastructure development.

The Telangana government has been seeking financial support from the Centre for the expansion and development of the Hyderabad Metro Rail network.
