Telangana CM calls for Development-Focused Politics, Sets $3 Trillion Economy Goal for Telangana

Hyderabad, July 9 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday said politics should be confined to election periods and the focus should remain on the development of the State, while reiterating the government’s goal of transforming Telangana into a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047.

Speaking after inaugurating Premier Energies’ next-generation solar module manufacturing facility at Seetarampur in Shabad mandal of Ranga Reddy district, the Chief Minister said the State aims to contribute 10 per cent to India’s economic growth.

“Politics should be done only during elections. The priority now is the development of Telangana,” he said, adding that the government was working to attract investments and strengthen the State’s economy despite political criticism from the opposition.

Revanth Reddy said the existing flow of investments was inadequate to compete globally and stressed the need to develop world-class infrastructure to attract more industries and generate economic growth.

Expressing concern over rising pollution in Delhi and traffic congestion in cities such as Bengaluru and Chennai, he said the Telangana government had initiated long-term planning to ensure sustainable urban development in Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister said the government had earmarked about 2,100 sq km within the Outer Ring Road under the CURE initiative for the service sector and divided the State into CURE, PURE and RARE zones to promote balanced and environment-friendly development.

He said a Skills University and Advanced Training Centres (ATCs) had been established to enhance youth employability and meet the requirements of emerging industries.

Revanth Reddy directed the Ranga Reddy District Collector to provide houses and develop commercial complexes for families who lost their land for the solar manufacturing project to ensure sustainable livelihoods.

He thanked farmers of Ranga Reddy district for supporting the establishment of the facility and said special funds had been allocated for the development of the Chevella Assembly constituency.

The Chief Minister also said a 100-metre-wide road was being constructed from Budwel to Kodangal as part of the government’s infrastructure development programme.

Premier Energies Chairman Surender Pal Singh Saluja, Managing Director Chiranjeevi Saluja, Executive Director Revathi Rohini Buragadda, Director Sudheer Reddy and senior officials attended the programme.
