Telangana BJP chief welcomes Centre’s hike in MSP for Rabi crops

Hyderabad, Sept 30 (TNT): Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday welcomed the Union Cabinet’s decision to increase the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for six mandated Rabi crops for the 2027–28 marketing season.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved higher MSPs for wheat, barley, gram, lentil (masur), rapeseed and mustard, and safflower.

In a post on ‘X’, Rao said the Central government, under Modi’s leadership, remained committed to improving the lives of farmers across the country.

He said the enhanced MSPs would ensure better returns for farmers cultivating Rabi crops and help strengthen their incomes and prosperity.

Rao also thanked the Prime Minister for the decision, describing it as an important step towards farmers’ welfare during the festive season.
