Special supervision on Anna Canteens: Kakinada Municipal Commissioner
Kakinada , June 18 (TNT): Kakinada Municipal Commissioner NVV Satyanarayana on Thursday said that the Anna Canteens working would be kept under special supervision daily to improve their functioning so as to receive the appreciation of the public.
The Commissioner during his morning field visits ,made a surprise inspection of the Anna Canteen at the Santha Cheruvu area and went round observing the sanitation, food quality and hygiene aspects .
He also interacted with the people having breakfast enquiring them on food quality, facilities in the canteen and whether the canteen staff are courteous or not.
Commissioner later told media persons that special supervision was kept on the maintenance and working of all the Anna canteens and the drinking water facilities, sanitation, and food quality was being closely observed.
The Commissioner further said that the Government’s aim was to provide food to poor and middle class people and based on the feedback from the public the Anna Canteen services would be further improved.
Waterworks deputy executive engineer Lakshminarayana, Executive engineer P Kanakarao, Assistant engineer Arjun and other officials accompanied the Commissioner during the visit.
