Solestra Group, Jeh Aerospace Sign Multi-Year Manufacturing Pact, Launch Dedicated Facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 17 (TNT): Solestra Group, a North America-based precision manufacturing company, and Jeh Aerospace on Wednesday announced a multi-year, multi-million-dollar agreement and inaugurated a dedicated Global Manufacturing Center (GMC) at Jeh Aerospace’s facility in Hyderabad.

The new facility has been established exclusively for Solestra’s programmes and is aimed at expanding manufacturing capacity, accelerating industrialisation and strengthening supply-chain resilience in the aerospace and defence sectors.

Solestra Chief Executive Officer Joe DeMartino and Vice-President and General Manager Rocky Barnhart visited the Hyderabad facility to mark the signing of the agreement and inauguration of the Global Manufacturing Center.

According to the companies, the GMC model goes beyond conventional subcontracting by providing dedicated machines, infrastructure and workforce aligned exclusively to a customer’s programmes, quality standards and operating systems.

The model is designed to offer expanded capacity, faster product development, digital transparency, intellectual property protection and a single point of accountability.

The initiative draws on the experience of Jeh Aerospace founders Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, who have spent over two decades establishing and managing aerospace joint ventures in India.

DeMartino said the partnership would enhance Solestra’s ability to support new product introduction programmes, increase manufacturing capacity and serve larger and more complex projects while enabling its North American operations to focus on advanced manufacturing, assembly and customer engagement.

He said the speed with which Jeh Aerospace established the manufacturing cell and installed equipment demonstrated the execution capabilities that Solestra was seeking in a strategic partner.

Sanghavi said the aerospace industry had traditionally relied on transactional supply-chain models that focused on local efficiencies rather than long-term resilience.

The new model, he said, offers the benefits of an India-based joint venture without the governance and ownership complexities typically associated with such arrangements.

The Solestra Global Manufacturing Center will add high-precision mechanical systems manufacturing capabilities to Jeh Aerospace’s existing expertise in aero-engines and aerostructures.

Both companies are certified under the AS9100D aerospace quality management standard and said the partnership would strengthen their commitment to precision engineering, quality, on-time delivery and supply-chain reliability.
