Six Food Delivery Workers Killed in Road Accident in Karnataka
Uttara Kannada, July 9 (TNT): At least six people, all working as part-time food delivery personnel and travelling together on a pilgrimage, were killed in a head-on collision between their passenger vehicle and a lorry near Arabail Ghat in Yellapur taluk of Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district on Thursday, police said.
The deceased, all friends from Dharwad, were employed as part-time delivery workers for a food delivery platform in the Hubballi-Dharwad region.
According to police, the group was travelling to Dharmasthala and other pilgrimage centres when the accident occurred.
Three other occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
