Singareni CMD Stresses Quality Standards to Enhance Power Generation Capacity
Hyderabad, May 29 (TNT): Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti on Friday stressed the need to maintain high quality standards and adhere strictly to project timelines to enhance Singareni’s power generation capacity.
Reviewing the progress of the ongoing construction works of the new 800 MW Thermal Power Unit at the Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) in Jaipur Mandal of Mancherial district, the CMD directed officials to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated schedule.
Dr Jyoti said the proposed thermal power unit would play a significant role in strengthening SCCL’s contribution to the power sector and meeting the growing energy requirements of the State.
During the inspection, he reviewed various components of the project and instructed officials to focus on quality, safety and timely execution to ensure the successful completion of the unit.
As part of the visit, the CMD planted a sapling on the plant premises and inaugurated the Rescue Safety Control Room, highlighting SCCL’s commitment to environmental protection and workplace safety.
He also reviewed the performance and progress of thermal and solar power projects being undertaken by the company and held discussions with senior officials on operational efficiency, project implementation and future expansion plans.
Directors of SCCL and senior company officials accompanied the CMD during the inspection and review meeting.
