Singareni CMD Calls for Strong Environmental Action on World Environment Day
Hyderabad, June 5 (TNT): Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director , Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, urged everyone to actively protect Mother Earth by adopting environmentally responsible habits such as reducing plastic use, planting trees, and increasing green cover.
At the World Environment Day event held in Singareni Bhavan here on Friday, he planted saplings and administered an environmental protection pledge to SCCL employees, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in both professional and personal life.
Winners of essay writing, elocution, and quiz competitions organized for the occasion were also awarded prizes.
Senior officials including the Director (Personnel & Finance) Gautham Potru, and Executive Director (Coal Movement) B. Venkanna participated in the plantation drive along with other employees.
Similar awareness and plantation activities were conducted across SCCL operational areas.
