Shriram Group Rebrands Way2Wealth as Shriram Financial Services, Appoints Amit Golia as MD and CEO
Way2Wealth was acquired by the Group in 2020, and the rebranding process is currently underway, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Shriram FS will focus on retail and high-net-worth individual (HNI) investors through an assisted do-it-yourself (DIY) investment platform that combines self-directed investing with expert support.
The company plans to offer a range of investment, trading and wealth management services, including equities, derivatives, commodities, margin trading facilities, mutual funds, initial public offerings, portfolio management services, National Pension System products, demat accounts, fixed-income products, loans against mutual funds and loans against securities.
Golia has 26 years of experience in the capital markets industry and has previously worked with Motilal Oswal, Axis Securities and SBI Securities.
The Group said Sanlam Group, a South African insurance and capital markets company and its long-term partner, would support the business with its international experience in financial services and wealth management.
The initiative aims to combine the Shriram Group’s customer reach and distribution network with Sanlam’s global expertise to expand investment and wealth management services.
Commenting on the development, Subhasri Sriram, Managing Director and CEO of Shriram Capital Ltd, said the new entity would strengthen the Group’s capital markets offering and help it participate more actively in customers’ wealth creation journey.
She said Golia’s experience in financial services, capital markets, digital platforms and distribution made him well suited to lead the company’s next phase of growth.
Golia said the company would focus on developing simple, transparent and technology-driven investment services while strengthening distribution and delivering long-term value to customers, partners and shareholders.
The rebranding marks the Group’s latest move to expand its capital markets presence alongside its existing lending, insurance, asset management and broking businesses.
