SCR General Manager inspects Lallaguda, Mettuguda workshops
Hyderabad, Sept 12 (TNT): South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Saturday inspected the Engineering Workshop at Lallaguda and Signal and Telecommunication (S&T) Workshop at Mettuguda here, reviewing manufacturing processes, safety measures and workshop modernisation.
During his inspection of the Engineering Workshop at Lallaguda, the General Manager reviewed fabrication standards at the Welding Shop and examined the manufacturing process of Glued Joints. He also witnessed a pull-out test to assess product reliability.
He reviewed plant safety measures and stressed strict adherence to safety norms besides emphasising staff amenities, hygiene and welfare.
At the S&T Workshop at Mettuguda, Srivastava inspected the point machine and electrical shops and inaugurated a newly installed Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Bending Machine.
The machine is aimed at improving precision in manufacturing, modernising workshop operations and enhancing production capacity and efficiency, according to SCR.
The General Manager also interacted with trade union members and discussed staff welfare measures and employee engagement.
He participated in a tree plantation programme organised as part of green and sustainability initiatives.
Srivastava was accompanied by Principal Chief Engineer D. Anjaneyulu Reddy, Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer P.V. Murali Krishna, Chief Workshop Manager/S&T Workshop V.N.M. Rao and other senior officials.
