Repeated Blood Donations by RINL Employees Save Countless Lives, Earn Recognition

Visakhapatnam, May 31 (TNT): Demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to humanitarian service, two employees of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) have together donated blood more than 120 times, helping save countless lives and setting an inspiring example for society.

Recognising their selfless contribution, RINL Director (Operations) Dr. Salim G. Purushothaman felicitated K.V.L. Narayana Reddy, General Foreman (Mechanical), for donating blood 63 times, and Karri Srinivas, Deputy General Manager (Safety Engineering), for donating rare blood 58 times.

Dr. Purushothaman praised the duo for balancing their professional responsibilities with a sustained commitment to voluntary blood donation, describing their service as a shining example of compassion and social responsibility.

He said their dedication embodied the principle of “Help Ever, Hurt Never” and underscored the vital role voluntary blood donors play in saving lives during medical emergencies.

Highlighting the significance of blood donation, he noted that a single unit of blood can benefit multiple patients and lauded the employees for their unwavering service over the years.

The RINL Director said the humanitarian spirit displayed by the two employees should inspire others to come forward and participate in blood donation drives, helping strengthen the healthcare support system and save more lives.
