Education Must Prepare Students for Life, Not Just Exams: Telangana Governor

Hyderabad, May 31 (TNT): Stressing the need for holistic education, Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday said educational institutions must equip students not only for academic examinations but also to face life’s challenges with confidence, resilience and a sense of responsibility.

Inaugurating The Quantium School at Mokila near Hyderabad, Shukla  said modern education should focus on nurturing self-confidence, leadership qualities, creative thinking and social responsibility alongside academic excellence.

He observed that education in the present era should not remain confined to textbooks and classroom learning alone, but should also promote the mental, social and physical development of students to help them become capable and responsible citizens.

Appreciating the school’s initiatives in collaboration with the Art of Living Foundation,  Shukla said such programmes contribute significantly to the holistic growth and well-being of students.

The Governor noted that teachers are not merely instructors but mentors who play a pivotal role in shaping the character, personality and future of young minds.

Expressing confidence that The Quantium School would emerge as a model institution for quality education, he urged students to set ambitious goals and embrace lifelong learning with dedication and perseverance.

Members of Parliament D.K. Aruna and Dharmapuri Arvind, School Director Venkat Muriki and members of the school management attended the event.
