Reliance’s Contribution to National Exchequer Rises to Rs 2.16 Lakh Crore in FY26
Mumbai, May 28 (TNT): Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) on Thursday said its total contribution to the national exchequer rose to ₹2,16,472 crore in the financial year 2025-26, registering a year-on-year growth of 2.95 per cent compared to ₹2,10,269 crore in FY25.
The contribution includes taxes, duties, levies and other statutory payments made by the company, reinforcing Reliance’s position as one of India’s largest contributors to public finances.
According to the company’s Integrated Annual Report 2025-26, Reliance’s cumulative contribution to the national exchequer over the last 10 years has crossed ₹15 lakh crore.
The company’s Value Added Statement for FY26 showed that out of the total value created of ₹4,63,448 crore, the largest share of ₹2,16,472 crore, accounting for 46.7 per cent, accrued to the government in the form of taxes and statutory payments.
Reliance said ₹1,63,815 crore, representing 35.3 per cent of the value created, was reinvested into the business.
The company also distributed ₹43,152 crore towards debt servicing, ₹30,318 crore towards employee benefits and ₹7,443 crore to providers of equity capital.
An additional ₹2,248 crore was spent on social development initiatives through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
The company said that effectively, for every ₹100 of value created by Reliance, nearly ₹47 accrued to the government, reflecting the scale of its operations and contribution to India’s economic growth.
