Ramoji Film City to host 39-day festive carnival from Dussehra to Diwali
Hyderabad, Oct 6 (TNT): Ramoji Film City will host a 39-day festive carnival from October 8 to November 15 as part of its Dussehra and Diwali celebrations, offering a mix of cinema, entertainment, carnival activities and illuminated attractions.
The celebrations will be held from 9 am to 9 pm and feature cinematic attractions including Motion Capture, Mayalok and the film sets, along with a Musical Glow Garden, Carnival Parade, Japanese dance, Rajasthani street magic, acrobatics at Sahas Adventure Park and special illumination across the Film City.
The festive programme will also feature live comedy sequence demonstrations from Movie Magic, character interactions, cinematic photo opportunities, folk and live entertainment, street performances, flash mobs and interactive carnival experiences.
Visitors can also access special photo experiences including an AI Photo Booth, Vanity Van and Butterfly Photo experience by DiGI, the organisers said.
Ramoji Film City Director Sohana Cherukuri said the festive carnival was designed to bring together families and friends through cinema, celebration, music, food and shared experiences.
The celebrations are aimed at providing a day-out experience for visitors across age groups, with interactive entertainment for children and teenagers, family-oriented activities and attractions centred around Indian cinema.
The destination also offers accommodation, 10 thematic restaurants, Sahas Adventure Park and Sukhibhava Ayurvedic Centres, enabling visitors to extend their visit into a holiday experience.
The festive programme will add to Ramoji Film City’s existing attractions, which include film sets, live shows, thematic attractions, adventure experiences, gardens, hospitality and entertainment.
The carnival will run from October 8 to November 15, with visitors able to access the festive celebrations and other attractions during the day and illuminated experiences and entertainment in the evening.
Ramoji Film City is a cinematic tourism and entertainment destination in Hyderabad, recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest film studio complex.
Spread across approximately 2,000 acres, it combines filmmaking infrastructure with studio tours, iconic film sets, live entertainment, thematic attractions, adventure experiences, gardens, hospitality and events.
