KLH Hyderabad launches Agentic AI Campus initiative with HCL Group AI Labs

Hyderabad, Oct 6 (TNT): KLH Hyderabad has launched its Agentic AI Campus initiative and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HCL Group AI Labs to integrate artificial intelligence into student learning and innovation.

The initiative was formally inaugurated by HCL Group AI Labs National Head Deepak Sarvanan at the KLH Bachupally campus here on Monday.

KLH said the collaboration aims to provide students across disciplines with opportunities to understand, develop and apply AI technologies through practical projects, faculty mentorship and industry engagement.

KLH Bachupally Principal Dr L. Koteswara Rao represented during the MoU exchange, along with Dean-Skill Development Dr A. Srinath and other senior officials.

The initiative seeks to make AI an integral part of the student experience, encouraging students to use AI to investigate problems, test ideas and develop solutions relevant to industry and society.

KL Deemed to be University Vice President Er Koneru Lakshman Havish said the collaboration would help connect classroom learning with hands-on projects and industry expertise.

He said the initiative would focus on preparing students to develop intelligent solutions for real-world requirements and use AI responsibly in their respective fields.

Agentic AI systems can plan and execute a series of tasks towards a defined goal under appropriate human oversight. The initiative will enable students to explore applications ranging from information analysis to workflow coordination and decision support, KLH said.

The proposed roadmap includes project-based learning in areas such as business automation, data-driven services and discipline-specific AI applications. Students will be encouraged to design and test solutions and evaluate their accuracy, reliability and practical value.

Faculty readiness will also form a key component of the initiative, with support for educators to integrate AI into teaching, assignments and mentorship.

The collaboration will also emphasise responsible AI practices, including data privacy, bias, reliability and human accountability.

Students will be encouraged to verify AI-generated information and understand the limitations of the systems they develop and use.

Through the partnership with HCL Group AI Labs, KLH Hyderabad aims to strengthen the connection between academic learning and industry requirements across its Bachupally and Aziznagar campuses and prepare students to develop and apply AI solutions to real-world challenges.
