Railways Commended for Swift Action on Safety Wall Near Pithapuram Ashram
Kakinada, May 21(TNT): South Central Railway (SCR) authorities of the Vijayawada Division have been commended for their prompt response in approving and taking up construction of a safety wall along the railway track passing beside the Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham Ashram on the outskirts of Pithapuram town.
The managing committee and disciples of Peetham chief Dr Umar Alisha had ealrier appealed to the Divisional Railway Manager and Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination), Vijayawada Division, seeking construction of protective walls on both sides of the railway track to ensure the safety of devotees visiting the Ashram.
According to the disciples, large numbers of followers from different parts of the district regularly visit the Ashram to attend the spiritual discourses of Dr Umar Alisha.
They also highlighted recent accidents reported in the area and stressed the need for immediate safety measures.
Railway officials reportedly responded swiftly to the request and conducted a field inspection to assess the situation. After recognising the urgency and public safety concerns, the authorities sanctioned the construction of the safety wall.
The work has already been taken up on a war footing and is expected to be completed within a short period.
Convenor of the disciples’ committee, Peruri Suribabu, expressed gratitude to the railway authorities for their quick response and proactive action in addressing the safety concerns.
