President Murmu to Attend First Convocation of Central Tribal University in Visakhapatnam tomorrow

Visakhapatnam, June 29 (TNT): President Droupadi Murmu will attend the first convocation ceremony of the Central Tribal University at Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

Ahead of the President’s visit, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha on Monday reviewed the arrangements and directed officials to ensure foolproof security and seamless coordination for the programme.

The Minister inspected the venue and the hotel where the President is scheduled to stay, along with TDP State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, District Collector M. Abhishikt Kishore, Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi and senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Anitha said it was a matter of pride for Andhra Pradesh that the President would participate in the university’s maiden convocation ceremony.

She said the State Government had made comprehensive arrangements to accord a grand welcome to the President and appreciated the coordinated efforts of the district administration, the Visakhapatnam City Police Commissionerate and the Central Tribal University authorities.

The Home Minister said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh, public representatives and other dignitaries would also attend the programme.

She directed officials to strictly adhere to the protocol and security guidelines issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan and ensure that the event is conducted without any lapses.

During the inspection, Anitha reviewed arrangements at the V-Convention Hall, including the green rooms, guest lounges, security measures, entry and exit points and other facilities, and suggested additional measures to strengthen the arrangements.

Later, speaking to the media, she said the State Government and district administration were working in close coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the President’s visit and the first convocation ceremony of the Central Tribal University.

She appealed to all stakeholders to extend their cooperation for the smooth conduct of the prestigious event.

Joint Collector Gobbilla Vidyadhari, Deputy Commissioners of Police Latha Madhuri and Manikantha, Revenue Divisional Officers Dileep Chakravarthy and Sangeeth Madhur, and other officials were present during the inspection.
