Pournami Garuda Seva held with Religious Fervour at Tirumala
Tirumala, May 31 (TNT): The monthly Pournami Garuda Seva was conducted with religious fervour at Tirumala on Sunday evening, drawing a large number of devotees.
On the auspicious occasion of Magha Pournami, under the glow of the full moon, Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy mounted on the revered Garuda Vahanam was taken in a grand procession along the four Mada Streets from 7 pm to 9 pm, blessing devotees who had gathered in large numbers.
The spiritual event was marked by devotional fervour as devotees offered prayers and sought the blessings of the deity during the procession.
Among those who participated were Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami of Tirumala, TTD Board Member Shantaram, JEO (Health & Education) Dr Sharath, other TTD officials and devotees.
