PM Modi, Iranian President Discuss West Asia Situation
New Delhi, June 30 (TNT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke with Masoud Pezeshkian over the telephone and discussed the recent developments in West Asia.
During the conversation, President Pezeshkian briefed the Prime Minister on the evolving situation in the region and the way forward, according to an official statement.
Modi welcomed the understanding reached and reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
The Prime Minister also underlined the need for continued efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region and stressed the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and commerce.
