Paytm, AU Small Finance Bank launch RuPay credit card with family airport lounge access
Mumbai, Oct 22 (TNT) : One 97 Communications Limited, the parent company of digital payments platform Paytm, has entered into a co-branding partnership with AU Small Finance Bank to launch a lifetime-free RuPay credit card featuring family airport lounge access and rewards on unified payments interface (UPI) spending.
Billed as India’s first credit card to offer family lounge privileges, the co-branded product allows up to four family members to access domestic airport lounges together on eligible round-trip flights booked through Paytm Travel, the company said in a release on Thursday.
The card offers up to 12 complimentary lounge visits annually, accessible via digital QR-based entry without requiring the physical plastic card.
The card carries zero joining and annual renewal fees, catering to India’s mobile-first consumers.
Under its rewards structure, cardholders earn up to 2 percent rewards on eligible Paytm UPI transactions—including daily micro-spends like groceries and cab rides—alongside 5 percent rewards on Paytm Travel bookings and Paytm Gold purchases.
Reward points are redeemable at a value of ₹1 per point for 24K Paytm Gold, or for merchant vouchers, utility bill settlements, and allied benefits on the platform.
“When families travel together, the benefits of a card should work for them together,” a Paytm spokesperson said. “Our partnership with AU Small Finance Bank brings that thinking to airport lounge access, alongside rewarding everyday Paytm UPI transactions,” the spokesperson added.
