Narayan Seva Sansthan to hold Mega Limb Fitment Camp in Hyderabad On May 3

Hyderabad, May 1 (TNT):  Narayan Seva Sansthan (NNS), a leading NGO dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities, will organise a large-scale free artificial limb and calipers fitment camp in Hyderabad on May 3, aiming to empower hundreds of differently-abled individuals with mobility and independence.

The initiative is being organized under the joint aegis of CSR partner Make A Change Foundation (UK), Golden Jubilee, and Shri Swaminarayan Temple Willesden (UK).

The camp will be held at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, Hyderabad, from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM.

Speaking at a joint press conference here on Friday, Ms. Alka Choudhary, Patron, Narayan Seva Sansthan; Mr. Mahendra Singh Rawat, Hyderabad Ashram Head; and Mr. Hari Prasad Ladda, Camp In-charge, said a total of 745 pre-selected beneficiaries will be provided with 815 Narayan Modular artificial limbs and calipers free of cost during the camp.

Expert doctors and trained technicians will carry out the fitment of advanced modular limbs, while beneficiaries will also receive training in walking, balance and effective usage of assistive devices to help them lead more independent lives, they informed..

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support persons with disabilities across the country through similar camps in multiple cities, they added.

Prashant Agarwal, President, Narayan Seva Sansthan, said such initiatives aim to meet the growing needs of differently-abled individuals and enable them to lead dignified and self-reliant lives.

The beneficiaries were identified during a measurement camp conducted earlier this year. The event will also include a felicitation ceremony honouring CSR partners, social workers and donorsm, he said.

Founded in 1985 by Kailash Manav, the organisation has provided over 39,000 artificial limbs and offered  free medical assistance to more than 4.5 lakh differently-abled individuals so far.
