Inter -state criminal gang held in Kakinada, Rs.57 lakh property seized
Kakinada , June 30 (TNT):The Kakinada sub divisional police have successfully nabbed an interstate criminal gang including a minor boy and recovered from them Rs.57 lakhs of gold jewelry and silver ornaments pertaining to ten burglaries.
The recovered property include 380.7 grams of gold jewelry,2,854 kgs of silver articles and a laptop.
Disclosing the details of the arrests to media persons at the district police office here on Tuesday  District Superintendent of Police Garikipati Bindu Madhav said that the gang was involved in house burglaries in East Godavari, Kakinada and Anakapalli districts.
The criminal gang members are –Dharmadi Durga Prasad (32) resident of Jagannadhapuram Kakinada city, Gorripudi Venkataramana (43) of Balabhadrapuram, Anaparty Mandal, Pasi Sekhar (24) Kuthukuluru Anaparty mandal and Gedela Mahesh (30) Kakarlamudi , Thadepalligudem and another member Chukka Prasanth is at large and police are searching for him, he said.
SP Bindu Madhav further said that the gang’s modus operandi was conducting recce during day time and commit theft in the houses under lock by breaking open the locks during nights .
The SP has advised the people to utilize the police assistance whenever they are going out of station so that CC cameras would be installed in their houses and kept under round the clock surveillance.
The SP has complimented the sub divisional police officer Patil Devaraj Manish, Indrapalem SI Virababu, Crime SI B Venkateswarlu, crime wing staff K Govindarao, R Srinivasarao, KS Varma, L Ajaykumar, S Anjaneya swamy, S Bangara Raju and Indrapalem station staff PLVSS Prasad, Y Ramesh, Md Moin and Ch Surya Teja for the good work done.
