Mumbai, Sept 12 (TNT): Indian Bank has unveiled a range of digital banking solutions at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, aimed at simplifying banking services and enhancing customer experience through technology.
The bank introduced AI-TARA (Trusted AI Relationship Assistant), a conversational banking solution that enables customers to access banking services through voice commands in 10 languages, the bank said in a release on Saturday.
The solution allows customers to undertake services such as fund transfers, IMPS transactions and fixed deposit creation through voice commands. It is particularly aimed at senior citizens and customers with limited digital expertise, the bank said.
Indian Bank also showcased Smart Wealth, a personal finance management module on its IndSMART platform. The module provides customers with a consolidated view of their financial portfolio, including bank accounts, mutual funds, deposits, equities, exchange-traded funds and National Pension System investments.
It also offers spending analytics and personalised financial insights to help customers manage their finances.
The bank unveiled IND Cash Optima, a digital cash management platform for corporate and institutional customers.
The platform integrates digital collections, paperless corporate onboarding, mobile-based cash management and invoice-to-payment solutions, enabling greater visibility and reconciliation efficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, Indian Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Binod Kumar said the bank was leveraging technology to make banking simpler, more accessible and responsive to evolving customer needs.
The solutions showcased at GFF reflected the bank’s focus on combining innovation with convenience, financial inclusion and enhanced customer experience, he said.
Kumar said AI-TARA was aimed at bringing senior citizens and customers with limited digital expertise, who may face difficulties navigating conventional banking applications, into the digital banking ecosystem.
By enabling customers to access key banking services through voice commands, the bank was seeking to make digital banking more accessible irrespective of customers’ level of digital proficiency, he added.
The initiatives reaffirm Indian Bank’s focus on digital innovation and developing seamless banking experiences for retail as well as institutional customers.
