Hyd: Taruni Clothing Marks 35 Years with Cultural Evening at Bansilalpet Stepwell

The Asaf Jahi-era heritage site was illuminated with warm lights and decorated with jasmine flowers for the event, which featured live music, dance performances and creative activities for guests.
The highlight of the evening was a violin recital by Abhijit Gurjale, violinist, composer and performer who has contributed to nearly 200 films and has been associated with A.R. Rahman’s KM Conservatory.
His performance resonated through the historic stepwell, creating a musical setting for the celebration.
A semi-classical dance duet by trained classical dancers Meghna and Mrittika Mukherjee was another attraction. Guests also participated in interactive activities, including tote-bag customisation and perfume-making.
Taruni Clothing Marketing Head Urvashi Kingrani said the event was the brand’s first community gathering at the heritage stepwell and was conceived to bring people together through culture, music, dance and shared experiences.
CEO Divesh Malve and brand strategist Rhea Malve said the celebration reflected the brand’s vision of creating meaningful experiences beyond fashion by bringing together heritage and contemporary culture.
By choosing Bansilalpet Stepwell for the milestone celebration, the brand sought to highlight Hyderabad’s heritage and acknowledge the importance of preserving historic landmarks.
The event also marked Taruni’s appreciation for the traditions, relationships and trust built over its 35-year journey.
