Hyd: Tanishq Launches South India-Focused Uncut Diamond Collection ‘Malle’
Hyderabad, Aug. 7 (TNT): Jewellery retailer Tanishq, from the Tata Group, on Friday launched ‘Malle’, its first Uncut Diamond jewellery collection designed exclusively for South India, targeting customers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ahead of the Varamahalakshmi festival.
The collection was unveiled by actress Rukmini Vasanth at a launch event here in the presence of senior company executives.
Inspired by Malli (Jasmine), a symbol of grace and auspiciousness in South Indian culture, the collection has been designed around the traditional jewellery preferences of women in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The collection includes traditional South Indian jewellery such as Bottu Malas, Guttapusalu haars, jhumkis, necklaces, chokers, bangles, bracelets, rings and pendants, crafted in 18-carat gold using Uncut Diamonds along with emeralds, rubies, sapphires and pearls.
Speaking at the launch, Pelki Tshering, Chief Marketing Officer, Tanishq, said the company has sought to reinterpret a familiar cultural symbol into contemporary jewellery while preserving its regional identity.
He said the launch also marks the expansion of Tanishq’s Uncut Diamond portfolio with a collection specifically created for customers in South India.
Actress Rukmini Vasanth said the collection celebrates the region’s cultural heritage while offering contemporary designs rooted in tradition.
To coincide with the Varamahalakshmi festival, Tanishq announced special promotional offers for customers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Customers can avail discounts of up to ₹601 per gram on gold jewellery from August 19 to 22.
The company also announced discounts of up to 20 per cent on making charges of gold jewellery and on diamond value, besides zero deduction on exchange of old gold, with the offers remaining valid till August 31 across Tanishq stores in the two States.
