Hyd: ACB searches 13 locations in DA case against NIMS Deputy Superintendent

Hyderabad, Sept 22 (TNT): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday conducted simultaneous searches at 13 locations in connection with a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against NIMS Deputy Superintendent and doctor Dr Nori Lakshmi Bhaskar.

The searches were carried out at Kalpataruvu Apartments in Erragadda here, reportedly linked to Lakshmi Bhaskar, and at the residences of his family members at various locations, ACB officials said.

Multiple ACB teams were involved in the searches, during which officials examined documents, property records and other financial details in connection with allegations that the doctor accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Lakshmi Bhaskar has been working at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) for around 20 years and has served as Deputy Superintendent for the past five years, officials said.

Further details of the properties and assets identified during the searches are awaited.

In July last year, following directions from a local court, Banjara Hills police registered an FIR against Dr Nori and others for allegedly cheating a Rajahmundry-based doctor of more than Rs 2 crore in connection with a land deal.
