Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India sales rise 15% to 34.40 lakh units in H1FY27

Gurugram, Oct 1 (TNT): Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-based Honda Motor Co. Ltd, on Thursday reported a 15 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales to 34.40 lakh units during the first half of FY27 (April-September 2026), compared with 29.93 lakh units in the corresponding period last year.

Domestic sales grew 13 per cent to 30.44 lakh units during the six-month period, against 26.82 lakh units a year earlier, while exports rose 27 per cent to 3.96 lakh units from 3.11 lakh units in H1FY26, the company said in a statement, the company said in a statement.

In September 2026, HMSI recorded total sales of 7.06 lakh units, marking a 24 per cent increase from 5.68 lakh units in September 2025.

Domestic sales rose 26 per cent year-on-year to 6.36 lakh units in September, compared with 5.05 lakh units in the year-ago period.

Exports increased 11 per cent to 69,000 units from 62,000 units in September 2025.
