Tadepalligudem/Pithapuram, Apr 15 (TNT):Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer has said that homeopathy focuses on treating the root causes of diseases and stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanisms to promote overall well-being.
In a message issued on April 10 from Lok Bhavan, Vijayawada, on the occasion of World Homoeopathy Week 2026, the Governor appreciated the joint efforts of ASR Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (ASRHMC), Tadepalligudem, and Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT), Pithapuram, for organising the event marking the 271st birth anniversary of Samuel Hahnemann.
He stated that health is not merely the absence of disease but the ability of the body to respond effectively to environmental challenges.
Emphasising the significance of homeopathy, he noted that it looks beyond symptoms to address underlying causes while enhancing the body’s adaptive capacity.
The Governor conveyed his best wishes for the success of the week-long programmes aimed at promoting awareness and advancing holistic healthcare.
As part of the week-long celebrations, ASRHMC and UARDT conducted a range of community outreach programmes, including an awareness rally, 10 rural medical camps, and disease screening initiatives targeting non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid disorders.
The programme also featured a national seminar and academic competitions aimed at promoting research and clinical excellence in homeopathy.
The celebrations concluded with a tribute to Samuel Hahnemann on April 10.
Prof. Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali, Principal of ASRHMC, expressed gratitude for the Governor’s recognition, stating that it reinforces their mission to expand access to holistic and natural healthcare while advancing the science of homeopathy.
