Amaravati, Apr 15 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday announced that the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) March 2026 results registered the highest pass percentage in the last 12 years, signalling significant improvement in academic outcomes across the state.
A total of 10,15,916 students appeared for the examinations conducted across 1,537 centres between February 23 and March 25, 2026, an official release said here.
The pass percentage stood at 77% for first-year students and 81% for second-year students in the general stream.
In the vocational stream, the pass percentage was 61% for first year and 74% for second year.
Students can access their results online at the official website ‘resultsbie.ap.gov.in’ or through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp service by sending a “Hi” to 9552300009, the Minister said.
Highlighting institutional performance, Lokesh said Government Junior Colleges recorded notable improvement, with 54% pass in first year (highest in 12 years) and 68% in second year (second-highest in 12 years).
Girls outperformed boys in both years, with pass percentages of 85% (2nd year) and 81% (1st year) compared to 76% and 72% respectively among boys.
Encouraging students, the Minister advised those who did not clear the exams not to lose confidence and to work harder for future success.
He also urged parents and institutions to extend moral support to students during this period.
The Board announced that supplementary examinations (IPASE May 2026) will be held from May 21 to June 4, while applications for recounting and re-verification can be submitted from April 20 to April 27.
Lokesh conveyed his best wishes to all students for their future endeavours.
