Genome Foundation, BRIC-CDFD Renew MoU to Strengthen Genomics and Healthcare Research
Hyderabad, June 5 (TNT): Genome Foundation and BRIC-Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing science for societal benefit and realizing the vision of better “Health for All”.
The MoU renewal was formalised in the presence of Gandhi P. C. Kaza, Managing Director of Genome Foundation; Ullas Kolthur-Seetharam, Director of BRIC-CDFD; Dr. Ashwin Dalal, Staff Scientist, BRIC-CDFD; Dr. Pavani Sowjanya, Senior Scientist, Genome Foundation; Dr. Usha Dutta, Technical Officer-II, BRIC-CDFD; and Alanka Ketan Kumar, Consultant–Science Communications, BRIC-CDFD.
The renewed partnership further strengthens the institutions’ long-standing collaboration in genomics, biotechnology, translational research, capacity building, scientific training and public engagement, the Foundation said in a release here on Friday.
By combining their expertise and resources, the two organisations aim to promote innovative research, facilitate knowledge exchange and support the development of future scientific talent.
The collaboration is also expected to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into practical healthcare solutions, ultimately improving patient outcomes and enhancing access to quality healthcare.
Officials said the renewed agreement reflects the shared vision of both institutions to harness the power of genomics and innovation to address critical healthcare challenges.
Through continued collaboration, they seek to improve lives, advance scientific research and contribute towards accessible and equitable healthcare for all sections of society.
The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for collaborative research, scientific capacity building and public outreach, further strengthening India’s position in genomics and precision medicine.
