EThames Becomes Telangana’s First AI-Native Business School
Hyderabad, June 24(TNT): EThames Business School (EBS) on Wednesday announced its transformation into Telangana’s first AI-Native Business School, integrating Artificial Intelligence across academics, research, innovation, industry engagement and student development.
The announcement was made at a programme attended by students, faculty members, industry leaders and technology experts at the institution’s Hyderabad campus.
EBS Chairman Kali Prasad Gadiraju said the move was aimed at aligning management education with rapid technological changes reshaping the workplace and business environment.
“AI literacy and AI capability have become essential today. At EThames, we believe AI should not replace thinking but amplify thinking and accelerate learning,” he said.
To mark the occasion, students and faculty staged a skit titled “AI Tools Speak, Humans Decide”, highlighting the need for responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.
Faculty members and students also took pledges to use AI responsibly and professionally.
Former IPS officer and Chief Transformation Officer of EThames, V.V. Laxmi Narayana, described Artificial Intelligence as the latest transformative force after inventions such as the printing press, electricity, computers and the internet.
Addressing concerns over job losses, he said technological revolutions historically changed the nature of work rather than eliminating human potential and stressed the importance of continuous learning.
Joining virtually, IIIT Hyderabad Director Dr. Sandeep Kumar Shukla said educational institutions must equip students to work effectively alongside AI while fostering innovation and critical thinking.
Industry leaders, including former TiE Global chairman Murali Bukkapatnam and HYSEA President Bipin Chandra Pendyala, said AI-native learning environments would play a key role in preparing future-ready talent for evolving industry requirements.
The institution said the transformation includes integrating AI tools and methodologies into classrooms, faculty development programmes and student learning processes, with a focus on responsible and ethical adoption of the technology.
The event was attended by students, faculty members, entrepreneurs, industry representatives and members of the innovation ecosystem.
