Patna, Oct 14 (TNT): CtrlS Datacenters Ltd has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Bihar government to invest Rs 10,000 crore in setting up a 150 MW hyperscale AI factory at Bodh Gaya, while inaugurating its Rs 400-crore AI and cloud-ready datacenter in Patna on Tuesday.

The datacenter was inaugurated in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

Located in the Patliputra Industrial Area, the facility currently has an IT load capacity of 12 MW, with provision for expansion in line with future demand, the Hyderabad based company said in a release.

The facility is expected to cater to the digital infrastructure requirements of enterprises, government institutions, hyperscalers and technology companies across Bihar and eastern India.

The greenfield datacenter features disaster-resilient infrastructure, military-grade security and energy-efficient systems, marking an expansion of the company’s presence in the region.

CtrlS Datacenters Founder and CEO Sridhar Pinnapureddy said the company was committed to strengthening Bihar’s digital infrastructure and building a robust IT ecosystem through facilities designed to meet the evolving requirements of enterprises, hyperscalers and startups.

He appreciated the Bihar government’s policy environment, industry-friendly business climate and incentives that had supported the company’s investment in the state.

Pinnapureddy said the investments would generate employment opportunities and contribute to regional economic growth, adding that growing demand for digital infrastructure had reinforced the company’s confidence in Bihar.

As part of its expansion strategy, CtrlS Datacenters plans to establish more than 20 edge datacenters across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in India over the coming years.

The initiative aims to bring computing and connectivity infrastructure closer to customers, supporting low-latency digital services and AI-driven applications.

Established in 2007, CtrlS Datacenters operates 19 datacenters across nine key markets in India and plans to build more than 4.4 GW of datacenter capacity by 2030.

The company is also exploring expansion into overseas markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with Thailand identified as its first international market.
