CHATURMASA DEEKSHA COMMENCES in Tirumala
Tirumala, July 29(TNT): The Chaturmasa Deeksha Sankalpam of Pedda Jeeyangar Swamy of Tirumala commenced on Wednesday with kalasa sthapana and other Agama rites at the Pedda Jeeyar Swami Mutt.
The Jeeyangars proceeded in a procession, paid respects at Swami Pushkarini and Sri Varahaswamy Temple, and were welcomed at the Mahadwaram of Tirumala temple by TTD EO Muddada Ravichandra.
After the Darshan and other traditional rituals, Pedda Jeeyangar received the Melchat Vastram and Sri Chinna Jeeyangar the Noolchat Vastram.
TTD board members and temple officials were also present.
