New Delhi, Oct 6 (TNT): A 172-page book documenting stamps, coins and banknotes issued during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second term from 2019 to 2024 has been published by Mintage World.

Titled Stamps, Coins, and Banknotes Issued During the Premiership of Shri Narendra Modi – Part 2, the book presents the commemorative and currency issues released during the period in chronological order and highlights various national initiatives, institutions, cultural themes and milestones.

The book features stamps, coins and banknotes associated with themes and events including Atmanirbhar Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Covid-19 warriors, 75 years of Indian Independence, 125 years of Subhash Chandra Bose, 75 years of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), 100 years of Jamshedpur, 100 episodes of Mann Ki Baat and the Siachen Glacier.

According to Mintage World, the publication uses stamps, coins and banknotes as visual representations of developments and milestones during the period.

The stamps featured in the book vary in size, shape, colour and design, while the coins include circulation and commemorative issues minted at facilities in Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Noida.

Banknotes issued from various currency printing facilities across the country and in different denominations are also featured.

Priced at Rs 999, the book is intended for collectors, hobbyists, historians, researchers and those interested in India’s contemporary heritage, the publisher said.

The publication is the second part of a two-book series.

The first volume, released last year, documented stamps, coins and banknotes issued during Prime Minister Modi’s first term from 2014 to 2019.

Mintage World CEO and Publisher Sushilkumar Agrawal said the idea behind the publication was to preserve a visual record of a period in India’s contemporary history through stamps, coins and banknotes and introduce younger generations to philately and numismatics.

The book will be available through e-commerce platforms, bookstores and the Mintage World website, the publisher said.

Mintage World describes itself as an online museum dedicated to ancient and modern coins, stamps and currency banknotes.
