Baroda BNP Paribas Balanced Advantage Fund crosses Rs 5,000 crore AUM

Mumbai, Sept 23 (TNT): Baroda BNP Paribas Balanced Advantage Fund has crossed the Rs 5,000 crore assets under management (AUM) milestone as the open-ended dynamic asset allocation fund approaches its eighth anniversary, the fund house said on Wednesday.

The scheme has reported higher returns than its benchmark, the Nifty 50 Hybrid Composite 50:50 Index, over one, three and five years and since inception, according to the fund house.

The fund’s regular plan recorded CAGR returns of 10.31 per cent over one year, 12.37 per cent over three years, 10.67 per cent over five years and 13.2 per cent since inception, compared with 1.37 per cent, 7.65 per cent, 7.05 per cent and 10.21 per cent, respectively, for the benchmark.

A Rs 1 lakh investment made at inception would have grown to Rs 2,62,961 by the end of August 2026, while a Rs 10,000 monthly SIP from inception would have accumulated Rs 15.42 lakh.

The fund reported a 10.8 per cent SIP return over one year and a 12.75 per cent compounded annualised SIP return since inception.

The fund dynamically adjusts its net equity allocation between 30 per cent and 100 per cent based on a multi-factor asset allocation model.

Its proprietary valuation model assesses multiple parameters to determine the relative allocation between equity and debt, while fund managers actively manage duration and exposure to sectors and market capitalisations.

As of end-August 2026, 80.6 per cent of the scheme’s assets were invested in equity, with the balance in debt, cash and other assets.

The equity portfolio comprised 67.7 per cent large-cap, 24.6 per cent mid-cap and 7.7 per cent small-cap stocks.

The debt portfolio had 48.8 per cent allocated to sovereign and highest-credit-rated instruments, 36.3 per cent to cash and cash equivalents and 15 per cent to AA/AA+ instruments.

Investors can start with a minimum lump-sum investment of Rs 5,000 or a monthly SIP of Rs 500, while the scheme has no exit load for redemptions of less than 10 per cent of the investment within one year.

The fund is managed by Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management India Pvt Ltd, a strategic partnership between Bank of Baroda and BNP Paribas Asset Management.
