Bal Vikas children participate in cleanliness drive in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, Oct 4 (TNT): A large number of Bal Vikas children participated in a cleanliness and tree plantation drive organised as part of the nationwide “Swachhata Se Divyata Tak” campaign at the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi Mandir premises in Ukkunagaram here on Sunday.

The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations are conducting the cleanliness campaign from October 2 to October 20, culminating on Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Avatar Declaration Day.

The participating children cleaned and beautified the Samithi premises, demonstrating values of cleanliness, discipline, responsibility, selfless service and care for the environment.

Bal Vikas Gurus and senior devotees guided the children during the programme.

Bal Vikas students of Aganampudi Bhajana Mandali and its various centres also participated in cleanliness and tree plantation activities in their respective localities.

Students of the BC Colony and Kondayyavalasa centres took up cleanliness activities at the BC Colony Ramalayam, while students of the Pedamadaka Centre participated in the programme at Pedamadaka Ramalayam.

Students of the Srinivasa Nagar and Dibbapalem centres carried out cleanliness activities at their respective centre premises.

The organisers said the participation of children highlighted the importance of inculcating social responsibility and the spirit of voluntary service from an early age.

The programme was conducted in accordance with the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, including “Love All, Serve All” and “Help Ever, Hurt Never”, they said.
