AP: VSP DGP donates O-negative blood for 59th time
Visakhapatnam, Oct 4 (TNT): Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) Deputy General Manager (DGM) Karri Srinivas donated O-negative blood for the 59th time at KIMS Hospital, Sheelanagar, in response to an emergency requirement, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi said on Sunday.
Srinivas donated blood to 49-year-old Md Khammar of Vizianagaram, who was undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment and severe anaemia, with her haemoglobin level reported to be 5.4.
Responding to the emergency requirement, Srinivas donated the rare O-negative blood and continued his voluntary service to patients in need.
The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Ukkunagaram, appreciated Srinivas for his continued commitment to voluntary blood donation and community service.
His 59 blood donations were inspired by the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, including “Love All, Serve All” and “Help Ever, Hurt Never”, the Samithi said.
