Aurobindo Pharma subsidiary launches generic Advair Diskus in US

Hyderabad, Aug 31 (TNT): Lannett Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc., has launched the generic version of Advair Diskus (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder) in the US market in 100/50 mcg and 250/50 mcg strengths.

The launch marks the first product from Aurobindo Pharma’s inhalation pipeline to be commercialised in the US, as the company expands its portfolio of complex and differentiated inhalation products.

Advair Diskus, a combination therapy, is indicated for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The launch is part of its efforts to expand its global pharmaceutical portfolio, the Pharma company said in a release here on Monday.

The Hyderabad-headquartered company develops, manufactures and commercialises generic and branded specialty pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients in more than 150 countries.

The company has more than 30 manufacturing and packaging facilities approved by regulatory agencies including the USFDA, UK MHRA, EDQM, Japan PMDA, WHO and Health Canada. Its product portfolio spans seven major therapeutic areas, supported by its R&D operations.

The filing was dated August 31, 2026, and was submitted to the NSE and BSE by Aurobindo Pharma.
