AP: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to lay foundation stones for integrated wellness projects in Ongole
Ongole (Andhra Pradesh), Aug 13 (TNT): Spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will lay the foundation stones for three integrated wellness and education initiatives in Ongole, Prakasam District on August 19.
The initiatives — Carlton Wellness Retreat, Sri Sri Panchakarma & Tattva Centre and Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir — are being developed by EBG Realty, the real estate arm of EBG Group, and are envisioned as an integrated ecosystem combining wellness hospitality, Ayurveda, education, yoga, meditation, nature and community living.
The foundation-stone ceremony is scheduled to be held at 0915 hours at Sai Vishnu Chaturvatika, NH-216, Chadalavada, Ongole, EBG Group said on Thursday.
EBG Group Founder and Chairman Dr Irfan Khan said the projects were intended to go beyond individual developments and create an ecosystem where wellness, education, nature, spirituality and community could become part of everyday life.
The Carlton Wellness Retreat will focus on hospitality, nature, rest and rejuvenation, while the Sri Sri Panchakarma & Tattva Centre is planned as a centre for Ayurveda, Panchakarma, preventive wellness and holistic wellbeing.
The Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir will offer values-based education, with emphasis on academic learning, character, culture, compassion and the overall development of children.
The group said the integrated development aims to position Ongole as a destination for wellness and mindful living and demonstrate the potential of Tier-2 cities to create new tourism economies.
The project is planned with a focus on responsible construction, energy-efficient design, green spaces, water-conscious planning and clean mobility.
EBG Group said the development would seek to leverage the region’s natural assets while creating a sustainable environment for families, wellness seekers and visitors.
