AP: RINL launches three-month Preventive Vigilance Awareness Campaign
Visakhapatnam, Aug 17 (TNT): The Vigilance Department of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), launched a three-month Preventive Vigilance Awareness Campaign at the CMD’s Main Conference Hall in Ukkunagaram, here on Monday.
RINL Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Dr G. Trinadh Kumar, IFS, welcomed CMD M N V S Prabhakar, Directors and senior officials at the inaugural ceremony.
In his address, the CVO highlighted the significance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and the three-month Preventive Vigilance Awareness Campaign. The theme for 2026 is “Probity for Prosperity”.
A presentation outlining the various Preventive Vigilance activities proposed to be undertaken during the campaign period was made on the occasion.
Prabhakar unveiled the campaign poster as a curtain-raiser to the three-month initiative and congratulated the Vigilance Department for organising the campaign.
Emphasising the objective of “Probity for Prosperity of RINL”, Prabhakar said RINL was a strategic organisation and an important pillar of India’s steel sector.
Preventive vigilance, he said, was not the responsibility of the Vigilance Department alone but a collective responsibility of every employee at every level of the organisation.
He urged senior executives and functional heads to view Vigilance as a partner in strengthening systems and improving organisational processes rather than merely as a mechanism for detecting lapses.
The CMD said the three-month campaign provided an opportunity to comprehensively review systems and procedures and introduce improvements contributing to the sustainable growth and development of RINL.
RINL Directors GVN Prasad (Commercial), Vinay Kumar (Finance) and Subhasis Sengupta (Operations), besides other senior officers, were present at the programme.
