AP CM Unveils Swarna Andhra @2047 Vision at NITI Aayog, Focuses on Jobs, Technology and Inclusive Growth
New Delhi, June 11 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday presented the State’s long-term development roadmap, ‘Swarna Andhra @2047’, at the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog, outlining a vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a prosperous, inclusive and globally competitive economy in line with the national goal of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Addressing the meeting, Naidu said the State’s development strategy would be driven by human capital, technology-led governance and sustainable economic growth, with a focus on eliminating poverty, generating large-scale employment opportunities, enhancing skilling, ensuring water and energy security and accelerating growth through Agri-Tech, logistics and deep-tech integration.
The Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s technology-enabled governance framework, powered by the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), artificial intelligence-based analytics, real-time monitoring systems and predictive governance tools such as AWARE.
He said these initiatives were improving administrative efficiency, strengthening evidence-based decision-making and enhancing delivery of citizen services.
Naidu informed the Governing Council that governance reforms, transparent policies and a business-friendly ecosystem had helped Andhra Pradesh attract investments worth more than ₹23 lakh crore over the past two years, creating significant opportunities for employment and economic growth.
Emphasising sustainable development, he urged states to focus on strengthening infrastructure, ensuring policy stability and expediting approvals rather than engaging in unsustainable competition through incentives to attract investments.
The Chief Minister reiterated the State government’s commitment to ensuring universal access to seven basic necessities — housing, sanitation, tap water, clean cooking fuel, electricity, digital connectivity and direct benefit transfers — as part of its inclusive growth agenda.
He also highlighted the P4-MBK 10-20 initiative, which encourages the top 10 per cent of society to support the bottom 20 per cent through philanthropy, mentorship and community participation, thereby promoting equitable development.
In the healthcare sector, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh was implementing Project Sanjeevani, a digitally connected healthcare ecosystem aimed at strengthening preventive healthcare, integrated digital health records and access to quality medical services.
Highlighting efforts to prepare the workforce for future challenges, he said the State was undertaking major education reforms through AI-enabled learning, industry-integrated higher education, lifelong learning pathways and advanced skilling programmes in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technologies.
Drawing attention to Andhra Pradesh’s fertility rate of below 1.5, the Chief Minister called for greater national focus on demographic sustainability and outlined the State’s Population Management Policy to address future workforce shortages, ageing-related challenges and long-term economic sustainability.
Reaffirming Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to cooperative federalism, Naidu said the State would continue to work closely with the Centre and NITI Aayog to realise the shared vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and ensure inclusive growth and prosperity for all citizens.
