AP CM Reviews Revenue-Generating Departments, Sets Rs.1.27 Lakh Crore Target
Amaravati, May 14 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief MinisterN Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday reviewed the performance of revenue-generating departments at the Secretariat and directed officials to work towards achieving the targets fixed for the 2026–27 financial year.
During the review meeting, the Chief Minister discussed department-wise revenue generation and stressed the need to improve collections and ensure efficient utilisation of government revenues.
Officials informed the meeting that the State Own Revenues stood at ₹1,04,345 crore during the 2024–25 financial year and increased to ₹1,10,643 crore in 2025–26, registering a growth of six per cent.
According to officials, the government earned ₹33,679 crore through GST collections, ₹10,300 crore from the Mines Department and ₹11,047 crore from the Stamps and Registrations Department during 2025–26.
The state government has fixed a revenue target of ₹1,27,506 crore for the 2026–27 financial year.
Naidu instructed departments such as Mines, Excise, Stamps and Registrations, Commercial Taxes and Transport to work in line with the assigned targets and strengthen revenue mobilisation.
He also emphasised that every rupee earned by the government should be utilised effectively and responsibly by all departments.
Sai Prasad and senior officials from the Finance, Transport, Excise, Mines, Stamps and Registrations, Commercial Taxes, Forest and Municipal Administration departments attended the review meeting.
