AP CM Naidu Registers Details in Self-Enumeration, Urges Public Participation in Census

Amaravati, Apr 16 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday registered his details through the online portal as part of the self-enumeration process launched in the state.

The online data entry process under the House Listing–House Census programme began on Thursday, and the Chief Minister completed his registration via the official census website.

The self-enumeration process, consisting of 33 questions, was explained to him by AP Census Director J. Nivas.

Officials informed that citizens can submit their household details online until April 30, while enumerators will conduct door-to-door physical verification from May 1 to May 30.

Responding on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the state government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of welfare and development reach all citizens equally.

He emphasised that treating the family as a unit is essential for effective planning and stated that the census exercise plays a crucial role in achieving this objective.

Naidu noted that this is the first census exercise in Andhra Pradesh after state bifurcation and said it would not only collect data but also lay a strong foundation for development.

He added that the census will be conducted in two phases, with house listing beginning now and population enumeration scheduled to start next year.

The Chief Minister urged people to make use of the online self-enumeration facility, provide accurate details, and actively participate in making the census exercise a success.
