Hyderabad, Apr 17 (TNT) : A large number of employees of Dr B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) staged a protest here on Friday demanding implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), and clearance of pending dues.
The protest, held in front of the administrative building during the lunch break, was organised following a call by the Telangana Non-Teaching Staff Association of Universities (TUNTIA) and the Telangana Joint Action Committee.
Wearing black badges, employees, teaching staff, and union members raised slogans demanding immediate implementation of PRC recommendations, restoration of OPS, issuance of cashless health cards for employees and their families, and release of five pending Dearness Allowances (DAs).
Union leaders said the demands have been pending for a long time and urged the government to take immediate steps to address their concerns.
The protest was attended by University Employees’ Association President Kantham Prem Kumar, along with several staff members and union representatives.
