AIG Hospitals, Johnson & Johnson collaborate to implement Polyphonic Surgery
Hyderabad, Aug 12 (TNT): AIG Hospitals has collaborated with Johnson & Johnson to implement Polyphonicâ„¢ Surgery, a digital ecosystem designed to support secure surgical video recording, review, collaboration, learning and knowledge-sharing among surgical teams.
AIG Hospitals will be among the early centres in India and the Asia-Pacific region to implement the digital ecosystem for surgical procedures, according to the hospital.
The platform brings surgical video, case-based review, team collaboration, learning resources and structured feedback into a centralised environment, enabling surgical teams to review procedures and share knowledge., the hospital said in a release here on Wednesday.
Through the collaboration, surgeons, operating-room teams, residents, information technology professionals and hospital leadership at AIG Hospitals will use the platform and provide feedback on its usability, workflow integration and clinical connectivity.
Dr GV Rao, Director and Chief of Surgery, AIG Hospitals, said the implementation would help create a more connected surgical ecosystem by enabling teams to communicate better, facilitate learning and training, and support more precise and consistent patient care.
The initiative is part of AIG Hospitals’ broader focus on integrating clinical excellence with academics, research, digital innovation and AI-enabled healthcare solutions.
The hospital said the programme would also help inform future applications of connected digital technologies across surgical specialties and hospital systems.
