Hyderabad, Apr 26 (TNT): A global study conducted in collaboration with Woxsen University has found that ‘nearly one in three jobs could see over 50 per cent of tasks augmented by Generative AI’, signalling a major shift in how work is performed.
The research, carried out with the University of St. Thomas and North Star Policy Action, focuses on workforce trends in Minnesota, USA, but its findings are considered highly relevant for India’s rapidly evolving job market.
A key outcome of the study released on Saturday is the ‘GenAI Job Intelligence Dashboard’, developed with contributions from Woxsen’s AI Research Centre, which converts complex workforce data into real-time insights for policymakers and industry.
The platform helps identify high-exposure roles, emerging job categories, evolving skill requirements, and enables better workforce planning and hiring decisions.
“The real disruption is not job loss, but task transformation.
Organisations that fail to adapt to AI-led skill shifts risk falling behind,” said Dr. Hemachandran K, Director of the AI Research Centre at Woxsen University.
The study highlights that AI exposure is likely to redefine tasks and workflows rather than eliminate jobs, leading to the creation of new roles across sectors.
It also underscores the growing importance of ‘reskilling and curriculum alignment’, as businesses increasingly adopt AI-driven tools.
The initiative further points to the need for responsible AI adoption, including governance frameworks that balance innovation with workforce welfare.
Faculty members, researchers and students from Woxsen University contributed to the project, reflecting a shift towards experiential learning and data-driven talent strategies in the age of artificial intelligence.
